(I Timothy 4:12)
“Let no one despise your youth, but
be an example to the believers in
word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in
faith, in purity.”
The then Pharaoh believed that
his people would one day rise
up and challenge him. So he
ordered his solders to kill every
male child in his kingdom. An
angel warned the mother of
Moses. With no way to protect
her son she did the only thing
she could. She took the boy to
the river placed him in a basket
and watched him float away
praying he would be safe. (DON'T
TRY THIS HOME ) He was found
by the Queen who persuaded
the king to keep him. He went
on to free God's people.
Afterword he led them to the
Promise Land.
The decision to kill the young
males turned out to be good for
a lot of people. But the mother's
of the children probably
wouldn't agree.
This proves that God has a plan
for all of us. Also that every
child can do great things with
God's help.
The youngest of 8 sons, and
always overshadowed. David
was left to heard the sheep
while his brothers went off to
fight. The Philistines sent out
Goliath and challenged any
man to fight him. When the
men of Israel saw Goliath
they were afraid, and no man
had the courage to face him.
When David arrived at the
camp with food for his
brothers and saw Goliath. He
went before the king
proclaimed he would fight. He
went to a stream and picked
up five stones. Then with
nothing but a slingshot and
the might of God he marched
toward the giant. He took a
stone from his pouch and
flung it at Goliath. The stone
struck his forehead and he
fell. David then took his sword
and cut off Goliath's head. The
Philistines fled when they
saw this. David also became
the next king.
With but a mere stone David
killed a giant. When you have
God on your side you can
accomplish the impossible.
A mere child killed a man that
struck fear into the hearts of
the bravest men. David
faced Goliath with the
courage of a hundred men
and the strength of God. With
God on your side you have
noting to fear.
If God can turn a Shepard boy
into a king imagine what he
could do for you or your kids.
